Well, I’m back with another roundup of the Pride of Texans: that distinctive Lone Star flag. Part one was published in March 2021. Since then, I’ve been faithfully documenting more flags for your enjoyment.
Edible or wearable; hand-painted, slickly printed, or stitched in sturdy leather; small enough to overlook or big enough to have their own ZIP code… You never know where they’ll pop up.

Can you stand one more? The State Fair has been in full swing and just ended a few days ago. Here’s the flag that appears to be holding the Fair-is Wheel together!
What About You? Are you a Texan, and this post warms your heart? Or maybe you live elsewhere, and have decided Texas is full of lunatics? I’d love to hear your thoughts! Welcome! If you like food, reading, laughing over life's little disasters, and maybe thinking about the bigger things of life, you have come to the right place. Besides blogging, I write humorous fiction, though real life tends to leave fictional humor in the shade. But I'm not a total goofball.
No, really. I've also written a most riveting memoir--not mine, which would be boring, but rather the life story of an obscure pastor in Liberia, West Africa. His hair-raising memories of the Liberian Civil War years make for some suspenseful reading! Discover more under the "My Books" tab.
I live in North Texas with my husband, Brent. We enjoy bicycling, Mexican food, and traveling to visit our kids and grandkids.
I am a Dallas-born Texan, my mother was born at home in south Dallas on the Trinity River, and her daddy was born in Brenham, so I am a 3rd generation Texan. I love the Texas flag and it goes right along with the beautiful bluebonnets. I went to college in Chicago and that was a different country! The wind blew so hard one time it blew me backwards on the icy sidewalk. I am glad to live in Midlothian and not have the traffic of Dallas.
